Keep Your Home Air Tight and Start Saving on Energy Bills Today

Our certified air-tightness testing quickly finds where heat is escaping, helping you cut waste, lower bills, and stay compliant with building regulations.

What Our Customers Are Saying About Us

Why Air Tightness Testing is Essential

Meet Irish Building Regulations

Under Part L of the Building Regulations, most new homes and commercial units must undergo air permeability testing to prove they meet strict airtightness standards. Without it, you risk costly delays in getting sign-off or securing your BER.

Lower Your Energy Bills

A leaky building envelope means your heating system works harder - and your energy costs climb. Improving airtightness keeps the warmth in, the cold out, and your bills down.

Achieve a Better BER

A tighter building directly improves your BER rating, increasing your property’s value, sustainability appeal, and long-term marketability.

Enjoy Greater Comfort & Air Quality

Good airtightness cuts out cold drafts, keeps temperatures stable, and supports healthy ventilation systems that improve indoor air quality.

What We Do

What We Do

Our experienced technicians use calibrated blower door equipment to measure how airtight your building is, pinpointing exactly where heat is being lost.

For added insight, we can visually highlight leakage points, making it easy for you to target improvements.

You’ll get a clear, easy-to-read report showing your building’s air permeability and if it meets the standards for compliance and BER.

If improvements are needed, we’ll give you straightforward, practical advice so you can fix the issues and retest quickly.

We work around your build or fit-out timelines to avoid hold-ups.

How the Test Works

Preparation

We’ll advise exactly how to get your property ready, such as closing windows and sealing ventilation.

Blower Door Setup

We install a specialised fan system in an external doorway. This pressurises (or depressurises) the building so we can measure how much air is leaking through the envelope.

Identifying Problem Areas

We may use smoke pencils or thermal imaging to show you precisely where air is escaping.

The Results

You’ll receive a detailed report, typically on the same day, outlining your building’s air permeability figure in m³/h/m² and how it stacks up against Irish standards.

Who We Work With

Who We Work With

FAQs

Yes. Under Part L, most new builds need to prove they meet air permeability standards. It’s also vital for achieving your BER.

For dwellings, it’s generally 5 m³/h/m² at 50 Pa. Many aim even lower for better BER scores and future-proofed energy bills.

Most tests take around 1-2 hours on site, depending on your building’s size and complexity.

No stress – we’ll pinpoint exactly where the leaks are, give you practical advice to fix them, and come back for a swift retest.
